Our Mission

The TurtleDove Folk Club exists to foster and promote traditional, contemporary and multicultural music, dance and related performing arts in North America. The TurtleDove Folk Club seeks to strengthen its surrounding social community through individual initiatives in the folk arts with a focus on education, cultural enlightenment and grassroots networking.

The TurtleDove Folk Club is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit arts organization and a proud member of the North American Folk Music and Dance Alliance.

Booking Policy

The TurtleDove Folk Club's artistic booking policy has always focused on musical excellence and diversity within the folk genre, and an adherence to the folk tradition which emphasizes community interaction, appreciation for the music's historical antecedents and an abiding effort to stimulate the community's social consciousness. A deliberate effort is made to seek out local and regional artists who exemplify respect for their musical forebears as well as a creative view to the future of folk music.

Membership:

Annual membership in the TurtleDove Folk Club has become a vital part of the organization's operating income over the last few years. In addition to helping us maintain our mailings and website, this added revenue helps us keep our admission prices at a community-friendly level and allows us to remain adventurously eclectic in our booking policy.
